First of all, Lemon laws only apply to new cars. It sounds like you bought a vehicle without a warranty. Lemon laws would not apply to your situation.
Even if a lemon law did cover you, based on your question, you don’t know what it is. Google ‘Arizona Lemon Law’ and you will find exactly what it means.
All vehicles sold in the US without a warranty are sold as ‘buyer beware’, which means it’s your responsibility to get a vehicle inspected before purchase or negotiate a written warranty with the seller to cover any potential defects. Massachusetts protects buyers a little more, but that doesn’t apply to you.
You mentioned your understanding of an ‘implied warranty’. It could be something you could use in your favor, but the problem is that they are difficult to prove that one existed.
This is why a written warranty is typically your only way to protect yourself in these circumstances.
EDIT – You aren’t listening. Prove your implied warranty. If you have a warranty, then go get it fixed. If the place you bought it from is disputing the warranty, then you need to prove one exists. If you are counting on something a salesperson verbally stated to you while they were trying to sell you a vehicle as an ‘implied warranty’, then you are going to be out of luck.
You need all warranties to be written if you want’ any hope in enforcing them.

Question by angel: are tractor trailers covered by lemon laws in alabama ?
i bought a rig with no trailer and it has broken down 4 times in 11 months and it is suppose to be a new vehicle..what can i do ?
Best answer:
Answer by UCANTCME
Lemon law for Alabama
Every vehicle intended primarily for use and operation on the public highways which is self-propelled.
Excludes motor homes or any vehicle with a GVW of 10,000 pounds or more.
You need to contact the vehicles manufacturer and file a complaint with the dealership, you will also need to have the area zone manager come down and meet with you and if all fails and you can document everything that has gone wrong then you will have no choice but to speak with a lawyer……good luck.

Question by -: My friend Shawn has a “Lemon Law” type legal question.?
My friend Shawn has a “Lemon Law” type legal question.?
He bought a 1996 GMC Sierra one week ago. He put $ 1000 down. That night, he bought a new battery because the one it it died. Five days later, the fuel pump malfunctioned.
He signed some loan papers with a bank that didn’t get approved. Now they want him to come in and sign the paperwork for “Buy Here, Pay Here” type financing.
Where do we go from here, legally? If it were me, I would probably go down there and blow up in the guys face.
Were in Utah.

Question by prdunson: in alabama does the lemon law for autos apply if car was bought without a warranty ?
Best answer:
Answer by Bit Pilsman
Lemon laws are generally for new cars, not used ones.
Since you bought with no warranty, you are probably out of luck. If they won’t help you, put signs on your car and park it near the sales place.

Question by flipbook35: Lemon law-Jeep -NEW YORK?
o after almost a year of owing my new 2011- PAID FOR- Wrangler, with only 9600 miles, FIVE times at the dealer to fix one of the dreaded leaks, I’m DONE. Mine had been leaking since about 4500 miles on the hinge side of the doors ( 2 door) They had it over 2 weeks last time and brought in THE SPECIALIST to fix the problem on mine and at least 4 others with leaks.
Brought it home and still flooding the floor boards.
I called Jeep to begin the proceeding for lemon law. Has anyone had any experience with this in NY? And better if you dealt with Jeep/Chrysler?
Thanks so much for reading.
Thanks Noel, the 1st guy to answer FOR NOTHING. Anyone else have a better idea? I like to think if it went before a judge the ‘it’s a Chrysler product” has no meaning.
For record. This is my 2nd Wrangler. Last was a 1998, 150 thousand miles, only normal maintenance needed. In the end, with driving in and out of NYC there was next to no dents in it thanks to sidesteps, rubber fender flairs and steel bumpers. Paint was starting to fade and there was just a little rust starting on the front fenders. My Car before that, A 89 HONDA CIVIC over 120 thousand miles- Motor still worked great. BODY DESTROYED! Rusted out fenders, floors, SMASHED, dented on EVERY SIDE from parking in NY. I bought a wrangler for a reason, it’s a tank.

You are not likely to have any satisfaction from Chrysler.. I was a strong supporter of Chrysler products until the mid 90′s.. I had a “dreadful “leak problem with a new 1981 Dodge Aries.Like you several visits to the dealer never solved the problem basically they strung me along until the basic warranty period(12/12) was over. ” So sorry ” is all I ever got. I basically blamed the dealer and not so much Chrysler. I traded that car through another dealer. Bought 5 more new Chrysler products between then and 1995. All great vehicles.Faith in Chrysler restored. And then a new 1995 Plymouth voyager minivan- the vehicle from hell.. broken motor mount within two weeeks transmission failure within two months locking rear brakes sliding door operation un reliable etc. In this instance the dealer was supportive but Chrysler was NOT. PR rep advised to put everything in writing which I did three times. Only responses were very obvious ” form” letters. Never any satisfaction. Haven’t bought a Chrysler vehicle since or ever will. I still have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee
essentially an AMC unit with a Chrysler data plate. My loyalties are now with Fords.
So if you can invoke a “LEMON LAW” in NY- don’t waste anytime. Go for it.l
