Question by militarywifey home alone: How do I know which lemon laws might apply to me? We are military and we are Florida residents?
My husband is military, we are Florida residents, we bought the truck in North Carolina, it’s registered in NC but we live in GA. It’s headed back to the dealership today to be repaired for the 3rd time in 3 weeks for the same symptom.

does not accelerate while entering and or exiting a major highway. I have taken it in twice now to 2 different dealers/service depts and they tell me nothing is wrong. However, when my car is slowing down to 15 mph on a 65 mph highway, I classify that as something wrong. Does anyone know if they problem must be identified by the same dealer/service dept three times to be considered a lemon. I know I must have it in three times and under 12,000 miles, but do I have to be consistent with the same service dept and does the problem need to be indentified?

yes take it back daily for 3 days. After that if they dont wanna deal with you , call the MFG’S CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER also some MFGS have lemon law info in their owners manuals.

I recently purchaced a privately owned used car and it is having problems. The guy who sold me the car misrepresented is and sold it to me under false pretence. Now I want to return the car for my money back and he is giving me the run around and telling me lies like he’s out of the country and he doesn’t have the money. When I purchased the car he said it haden’t been in any accidents and he up kept the car. I purchased a carfax report after i purchased the car because I didn’t want him to sell it to anyone else, and found out it was in a front end collision and received major damage. He also did not up keep the car because when I had it inspected it was low on all of the fluids and the engine was starting to suffer. I’m not exactly sure what to do. I’m thinking about taking him to court, but i’m not sure if this falls under any Maryland Lemon laws.

not much you can do since you did all this after buying it always need to check those things before buying that’s why thy say buyer beware

Touchy area to find info on that. If your past a few years of ownership your sorta out of luck except to directly sue dealership servicing it. Sure its the bike and not the mechanics?

Ok I sold a 93 honda civic and it ran great I got it in a trade. I sold it to these girls who each drove it around I explained that I thought it had an exhaust leak but that I had not training to know for sure. She bought it for 2000 on Feb 25 it is now March 7 and just now shes telling me that the motor blown or somethings really wrong Im not sure. Today I got home and there was a note in the door saying that that they want there money back or they would be going to the police or a layer. Im just wondering ive done some research about it and know that the lemon law only covers from dealerships and I honestly sold them a good car. I also wrote a bill of sale stating that i was selling the car and she was the buyer. Im just wondering to cover my base that this case really wont stand up in court. Any advice would help thanks guys.

so today i got a summon to be at court. I have 20 days to appeal this and give my side which I dont owe her anything if i was getting the running car back id prolly take it back however the engine is blown and the engine is now out of the car. I can also make a counter claim? Does anyone have experince in this? Because i really dont want to lose this case. And she is also stating that i sold her a non working car and said there was nothing wrong with it. SHE DROVE IT HOME.

anyone also got a data point i can print out and show to the judge to show that there is no lemon law for cars that are used and private party just so i can bring proof chances are this judge isnt the greatest.
but i dont know what to make of that law i saw the same thing on line and i cant make heads or tails of it and it doesnt say that private party is off the hook im just looking for poof if you can highlight the parts that help me out id really thank you
NO WAY i totally was as true about the car as i could be. I still have the cragislist add stating the good of the car and under the bad was ruff idel, engine noise, and exhaust leak

Unless you provided something in writing either in an advertisement for the car or or the bill of sale stating it was in a particular condition, you have nothing to worry about. Used vehicles are sold as-is unless stated otherwise. The car was obviously abused after she got it and now is in a condition far different than when she drove it home. I can’t think of a judge in the country that would side with her.

Lemon laws apply only to NEW cars, so you cannot file a claim.
Second, the BBB has no legal authority to do anything.

Our air conditioning, purchased six years ago, has broken five times since it’s installation. It breaks once every summer (excluding only last year), and is broken now. Each time it fails, we end up paying the company 0+ to fix the problem, only for it to break again the next year. The company says there is nothing that can be done besides pay again to fix the problem. We have now paid in repairs over half of what the system cost initially.
Is there any kind of law in Maryland, like a “lemon law”, that would force the company to install a new system or something?

You can check the manufacturers website for recalls. The unit should have had a warranty for the first couple of years.
Buy a new unit from a different manufacturer and do not use the same local installation company.
Get the warranty in writing.

I am looking for information on how to find out what the puppy lemon laws are in WA State and or laws stateing information on what “Unfit for Sale” laws are for breeders.
P.s. I have used google and other resources and cannot seem to find what I am looking for. This was the last place for me to try. Other wise I have no idea where to begin correctly.

“Lemon laws” are only for NEW cars, not used. If you have a service contract, have it serviced. If you mean you have a warranty, have it fixed.
