My NISSAN VERSA sucks!!! Any other owners having problems?

Question by meg_c83: My NISSAN VERSA sucks!!! Any other owners having problems?
In July I bought a 2007 Nissan Versa, and within 3 weeks it had been in for repairs 3 times, and since then its been in for an additional 2 problems. These problems are with sensors, I’ve have to have the evaporation flow canister replaced, the tire pressure monitor has come on 2 different times and its currently in repair for an air flow sensor, and my dealership called yesterday to say they were going to have to replace the Intake manifold, as the sensor had welded to that piece and they couldnt get it out.
I’m in RI and planning to contact someone about the Lemon Law, but in the meantime I was just curious is any other Versa owners have experienced any problems?
Let me know, Thanks!

Tire pressure light is federally mandated and if you keep the tire pressures over 29 psi the light should never come on. set the pressure at 34 psi.TPMS is on our cars because Ford Exploiers tires would come apart anf trucks would roll over. Next issue in the exhaust manifold is a air fuel ratio sensor and an oxygen sensor. Yes I have one now in the shop with the A-F sensor stuck in the exhaust manifold. Nissan Knows the problem part is on back order. Nissan is about the best in resolving customer problems of any make I have worked for.
Remember there may be several glitches with first year production cars. How well did your computer run when you installed “windows vista”. Most of my customers really like the size and 32 miles a gallon of there Versa’s and most have not encountered many problems. Give your dealer a chance to fix those problems you have not bought a LEMON.

Lemon case, Nissan is offering me $3000 to settle???

Question by pre.game: Lemon case, Nissan is offering me 00 to settle???
I have a lemon law case against Nissan. Last March, a Nissan representative sent a letter to my attorney offering me 00 to settle the case. It appears the problem I was having with my Armada has been finally resolved. Now, I really want to get the 00 they are offering. My question is, should I have my attorney contact Nissan to send me the payment or should I contact the Nissan rep directly without advising my attorney? I’m afraid that if I contact my attorney first, he’d ask for payment from me as well. Any ideas? Thanks.

LOL! ,000? First off, hell no. The lawyer would probably get, oooh, about 2/3′s of that. Pssh, do you have any friends that are good at pretending to be lawyers? Call Nissan up! Get the head people on the phone, and let them speak to your ‘lawyer’. They wouldn’t want things to get ugly. You could also contact news outlets to tell them about this. They always like good juicy news.

Tagged Under : , , ,

Question by Andy P: Lemon Law on Nissan- How do you think this will go?
What are the chances my attorney would win in a lemon law case against nissan?

My 2005 Nissan Armada has had Major problems.
1.Premature wear of brakes and steering wheel jitters (recall)- took them 4 tries to fix this!*fixed
2.Brake light would be lite on dashboard when the e-brake wasn’t even in, result, couldn’t move my car- 2 times in the shop *supposedly fixed.
3. Exhaust manifold was cracked on both sides- 1 time in the shop *Fixed
4. Car would randomly turn off while i was Driving- 1 Time, i threatened to sue and my car has been at the nissan dealership for 7 days *not fixed yet

fortunately i got the extended service warranty

so how do you think the case will go?

and oh yea i keep all of the service records too.

Please be honest and mature. Thanks
oh sorry forgot to mention i did buy the car brand new
,000 worth of scrap metal..

Paper work to back up claims, that’s good. One problem i see it’s a 2005 already a few years old not a new car (2009) so as car gets older you will have things go out on it.
I think it’s your dealer that has poor techs to diagnose the needed repairs. Find yourself a new shop or dealer to take it to.

2004 Nissan Maxima front end shimmy / Lemon Law Claims?

Question by ryenzero: 2004 Nissan Maxima front end shimmy / Lemon Law Claims?
This question and post applies to anyone who either owns or has driven a 2004 or newer Nissan Maxima with similar problems as I’ve reported:

Has anyone experienced a front end shimmy in a 2004 or newer Nissan Maxima? I have put my 2004 Nissan Maxima in the shop numerous times for the front end shimmy and its one thing after another, as far as excuses and repairs go. New Tires, Struts, Rims, Bearings, still there is a shimmy.

I am currently suing the dealership and Nissan Corp. for failure to repair, dealer fraud, deception, and am also pursuing a class action suit against Nissan due to several other reported cases of this exact problem. Have any owners gone through with a Lemon Law Suit or a Magnusson Moss Warranty Protection Act claim?

Has anyone dealt with such/similar issues?
I have replaced the tires 3 times in 9 months. I’ve had the struts replaced, new brakes, replaced slightly bent rim. The car has been in for repair 5 times, same problem. The steering wheel shakes violently, at times it gives me a headache. I have done some investigating and the dealership knew of the problem at the time of sale; previous owners traded the car in for this reason. A salesman informed me it was a tire issue and that it would be fixed. Such detailed findings lead me to the filing of a consumer fraud case (deception and fraud).

Nissans built within a certain date were poorly engineered, primarily the first breed of 6th gens. Several Lemon Law claims have been filed with this exact this issue.

Why should a car owner have to get his/her tires balanced every 4-5k miles? A carl, especially a Certified Pre-Owned ,000 Nissan should not have these problems, period!
By the way, I tried contacting the owner of the dealer on several occasions. He tried to have me trade the vehicle in on another, which I tried to do. When I went to trade the car in, they wanted money saying that the car’s trade in value (Galves Value) was less than I owed. At that time, I only owned the car for less than 3 months. Why should I have to take the loss?

Yes I have seen a few of them. If you think you have a Lemon then you should get that book Identifying a Lemon. I read it and it gave good direction that helped me to understand what a lemon is and what to do and how to do it to get the right help, very informative. You can get it Free at lemonprotection.com. I had to file a lemon law suit and this book really prepared me. Good Luck and GOD Bless

Q&A: Does anyone know lemon law in NJ for used car bought 24 hours ago with blown head on 02 nissan altima?

Question by TrishaNJ: Does anyone know lemon law in NJ for used car bought 24 hours ago with blown head on 02 nissan altima?
We just purchased it last night. Does anyone know if we can get a full refund??

Unless it was sold as-is (and you would have signed paperwork to that effect), it must pass NJ state inspection. Therefore, your best course it to have it towed back to the dealer and try to resolve the issue.

Choices:
1.) Take it back. Try and get the dealer to “unwind” the deal (start over). Pick out a new vehicle from his lot. A full refund is unlikely however, but not specifically impossible.
2.) Take it to the dealer and have them repair it. Keep the car.
3.) Turn it into a big fight, with lawyers, spending money you don’t have, and getting nothing but a busted car in the end.

Which choice sounds better? Which is more likely to happen? That’s why I picked that order.

TIPS:
Go back and speak to the General Sales Manager. Tell them that you’d like to work out a friendly resolution. Tell them that choice #1 is your preference. Blow sunshine up his a##. Just don’t turn it into a fight. You will lose.

If it turns into a fight, back off and get back up. Try to resolve it with the Owner/GM. Document everything that is said by writing it down in a notebook.

Lemon Law does not apply until repairs are made/failed, and time has passed (28 days I think). Therefore, don’t mention lemon law! It’s like waving a red flag in front of a bull. If they screw people everyday at this dealership, they are going to be good at it. If they try to take care of people, give them a chance.

If all that fails, or you think you need to call in the Calvary, email me and I’ll see if I can work some magic on your behalf with the dealership. I’m in NNJ.

PS – why do you think/know it is a blown gasket?

When I bought my Honda Odyssey minivan in 2000 there were recalls issued by the dealer and all problems rectified. By the way, did they give you a loaner car to use while yours is still for repair. I am assuming that these repairs are under warranty, right?
